Spending time with friends and family

Abbi's New Bed
Today was an exceptional day. I spent an hour or two at the office and then my husband, John and I took Abbi for a ride around town. We first went to the chamber to see Aida and Tracy and visit for just a bit. From there we headed over to Best Buy and then a quick trip in the Pet Smart just to visit. We made it out for under $30.00 which is pretty good for me. While we where there, the trainer said our new baby is a docapoo (a dachshund and poodle mix), of course we have decided to say a doodle. The best purchase we made was this pink baby bed that Abbi just loved. She layed right down and took an afternoon nap on it. Then we proceeded to get ready for our company that was arriving that evening. Cretia was coming over with her family and we were planning dinner and then trick and treating for the kids. We had a fabulous time and I didn't get photo but our grandpuppies came over - Levi and Garrett dressed as Woody and a Pirate. They were just the cutest.
Ryland was Mario
Chloe was Minnie

My friend Nancy with Mozie

Yesterday we went to help my friend Nancy with some packing and moving. She was one of my first friends I had that I know God sent my way. She is one of those friends that when in need, she will be there and I wanted to do the same for her yesterday. She has walked with me through many tough situations in my life and always been there when I needed a shoulder to cry on or when I wanted to celebrate a mini success in life. She is a fabulous business woman and I want to thank God for my blessing of a wonderful friend named Nancy. I am also thankful that she is moving a little closer to me so that we will see each more often.

October 28, 2011 - Abbi is our Blessing for the day

Today the morning started early, John headed out to Men's Prayer Breakfast at Mt. Horeb UMC at 5:45 am and I headed to take our newest little blessing, Abbi, to the vet. Today was the day for her to get spayed. We have only had Abbi for 8 days and she came to us after she was found traveling with her brother and on her own for quite a while. She had matted hair and grease on the top of her sweet little head. She is just getting comfortable with us and we can tell she feels like she is home so getting in the car and traveling to the veterinarian scared her a bit.
I actually cried after I dropped her off because she was so scared. She has definitely added some tenderness and love to our already warm home and we have fallen in love with this little creature that God has sent our way. 3:30 could not come fast enough. I went to work and stayed busy passing the time until I went home and me and John left to pick her up. It was truly a comforting sight to see her even though I know she was in very good hands and taking excellent care of.
Since she has been home, she has slept most of the evening right beside me and is so beautiful and cute as she sleeps. Thank you God for sending this little blessing into our home.
