God is Good - My View this morning

A few ducks enjoying the same view

An Awesome Sunrise this morning

Everything was still and quiet except for an occasional fishing boat
This morning, as I sit drinking my coffee and pattin on Abbi, I just take my time and enjoy the beauty all around me. The sunrise was awesome and the opportunity that I have to take off and stop from this busy, crazy world and just enjoy some of God's amazing peace and beauty. This is exactly what I needed this morning. After a couple crazy weeks of going at 100 miles an hour, I am so blessed that there are 10 wonderful people running the shop so that I am able to rest and rejuvenate this week as we wait for family to arrive on Wednesday to spend Thanksgiving together.
I am so blessed and thankful today for everything that has been given me from God. I need to remember to take time everyday to open my eyes and see the beauty that is right in front of me.

In a little while, me and Abbi will need to take a ride to get just a few more items from the store - we have made about 2 trips already, but just a few more things and we will be ready to start making a couple of pecan pies and start some cooking to get ready for a feast of thanksgiving on Thursday.

God is Good!

Abbi also enjoyed the sunrise on a morning walk - we heard some cackling geese and took care of business

TGIF

Wow, I cannot believe that it is already November 11th - just one and half weeks and Thanksgiving will be here. It sure does make you want to slow down time, but I have not found a way to make this happen. During these busy times, I sometimes forget to be thankful for the blessings that I have been given.
I have a wonderful place to go to work and I have wonderful people that I work with. Along with this, I am married to a wonderful man and we live in a warm, inviting home with a wonderful baby puppy who is laying in her little pink bed with her head on her arm sleeping like a little girl as I type. We have three wonderful sons between us and four grandpuppies. What more could a wife, mother and business woman want?
NOTHING!
I need to say that out loud because sometimes I forget in the busyness that I have been blessed with everything that I need and even many of my wants.

Abbi getting in her evening nap - How Precious!

This past weekend we were able to go over to Atlanta and visit with family and also take most of the staff from the office to enjoy a little retail therapy and some fun times eating and hanging out with family and friends. Try to take the time to relax and just enjoy the beginning of the holidays.

Spending time with friends and family

Abbi's New Bed
Today was an exceptional day. I spent an hour or two at the office and then my husband, John and I took Abbi for a ride around town. We first went to the chamber to see Aida and Tracy and visit for just a bit. From there we headed over to Best Buy and then a quick trip in the Pet Smart just to visit. We made it out for under $30.00 which is pretty good for me. While we where there, the trainer said our new baby is a docapoo (a dachshund and poodle mix), of course we have decided to say a doodle. The best purchase we made was this pink baby bed that Abbi just loved. She layed right down and took an afternoon nap on it. Then we proceeded to get ready for our company that was arriving that evening. Cretia was coming over with her family and we were planning dinner and then trick and treating for the kids. We had a fabulous time and I didn't get photo but our grandpuppies came over - Levi and Garrett dressed as Woody and a Pirate. They were just the cutest.
Ryland was Mario
Chloe was Minnie

The whole gang with Miss Alaska

Even Abbi hung out with Taylor as a Vampire

My friend Nancy with Mozie

Yesterday we went to help my friend Nancy with some packing and moving. She was one of my first friends I had that I know God sent my way. She is one of those friends that when in need, she will be there and I wanted to do the same for her yesterday. She has walked with me through many tough situations in my life and always been there when I needed a shoulder to cry on or when I wanted to celebrate a mini success in life. She is a fabulous business woman and I want to thank God for my blessing of a wonderful friend named Nancy. I am also thankful that she is moving a little closer to me so that we will see each more often.

October 28, 2011 - Abbi is our Blessing for the day

Today the morning started early, John headed out to Men's Prayer Breakfast at Mt. Horeb UMC at 5:45 am and I headed to take our newest little blessing, Abbi, to the vet. Today was the day for her to get spayed. We have only had Abbi for 8 days and she came to us after she was found traveling with her brother and on her own for quite a while. She had matted hair and grease on the top of her sweet little head. She is just getting comfortable with us and we can tell she feels like she is home so getting in the car and traveling to the veterinarian scared her a bit.
I actually cried after I dropped her off because she was so scared. She has definitely added some tenderness and love to our already warm home and we have fallen in love with this little creature that God has sent our way. 3:30 could not come fast enough. I went to work and stayed busy passing the time until I went home and me and John left to pick her up. It was truly a comforting sight to see her even though I know she was in very good hands and taking excellent care of.
Since she has been home, she has slept most of the evening right beside me and is so beautiful and cute as she sleeps. Thank you God for sending this little blessing into our home.
